During this self-guided study week, I started my photography projects for the Independent Skills Development module. On Monday 5th February, I completed the first photography project, abstract angles and POV's of an inanimate object. I decided to choose a bench as my inanimate object and I tried to take a variety of shots from different angles of various different benches.
On Wednesday 7th February, I completed the cityscape and landscape photography. I collected my cityscape shots from in and around Stoke and got most of my landscape shots in Hanley Park.
On Friday 9th February, I completed my self-identity/self-portraiture photography. I tried to have each shot represent a different side of my personality.
This was the first photography I have done in years and I can honestly say that it was very enjoyable. I completely forgot how fun taking pictures really is and I am glad that this module has allowed me to realise this passion for photography once again.
During this self-guided study week, we were all left to independently get on with and complete our own paperwork documents for the production file of our non-fiction film in time for the green light meeting. This week helped me improve my time management as I managed to complete all of my paperwork with days to spare before the green light deadline. Me and my crew also went and did a test shoot at our film location on Saturday 3rd Feb to test all our equipment and so we felt fully prepared for the official shoot.
